Static Control - Our products

As illustrated in the image below, our static control products are divided into three flexible product categories that are specified for customers depending on the level of static control required:

 static control

Earth-Rite products offer maximized level of static control because they are ground monitoring systems with interlocking control for manufacturing processes which can generate static hazards. Earth Rite products are suitable for flammable or combustible environments where there is a real danger of conductive plant equipment or materials which can be charged with static electricity.

Bond-Rite products are self testing grounding clamps with green flashing LEDs which confirm positive connection to equipment. These grounding clamps offer a higher level of static control and are perfect for applications where no control switches or PLCs are available for output contacts. Newson Gale’s Bond-Rite products offer a high level of safety when working with applications which have the potential to create static electricity hazards.

Cen-Stat provide entry-level static control and are ideal for hazardous area operators who need to rely on small clips or grounding clamps. Cen-Stat products are single circuit applications which require high strength mechanical circuits to dissipate the electrostatic charge from various equipment.

Newson Gale’s range of Cen-Stat products are pole clamps, grounding clamps, cables, reels and various types of testing equipment which are all ATEX & FM approved.

Hazardous Location Approvals.
Depending on the country specification, our static control grounding clamps and all Newson Gale equipment carries ATEX, FM, IECEx and CSA hazardous area approvals and are fully compliant with internationally recognised Best Practice standards for controlling static electricity.  Functional safety is also assured to SIL2 Safety Integrity Level.

  • NFPA 77: Recommended Practice on Static Electricity (2007).

  • American Petroleum Institute API RP 2003: Protection Against Ignitions Arising out of Static, Lightning and Stray Currents (2008).

  • CENELEC CLC/TR: 50404 - Code of practice for the avoidance of hazards due to static electricity (2003).
