Earth-Rite® II MGV
A mobile grounding and verification system that is mounted onto the side or rear of vacuum trucks operating within flammable or combustible atmospheres.
OhmGuard®
OhmGuard tests the end-to-end resistance of lengths of hose that are used with vacuum trucks prior to the transfer of flammable or combustible products.
Grounding Kit
The portable static grounding kit can be swiftly deployed in emergencies where a verified earth cannot be easily located.
How Do You Ground Static Electricity?
Static grounding is the process of creating a physical connection between a metallic object to the earth. The grounding system has interlock relays which allows the user to start / stop the process if the low resistance ground is lost.
Does Grounding Prevent Static Charge?
Static grounding doesn’t stop charges from the being generated but connects them to the verified ground point by a low resistance connection. The lower the resistance of this connection between the clamp and the ground the quicker the charge is dissipated.
This protects people from shocks and burns, damage to plant/equipment, and mitigates the risk of fires and explosions.
What Techniques Can Be Used to Avoid Static Electricity or Mitigate the Problems?
Two techniques can be used to mitigate the problems caused by static electricity – grounding and bonding. Newson Gale has a range for each of these solutions:
